Dear Friends:
I’ve written before about climate change and its possible effects on the doshas—especially Vata--but with clear and mounting evidence of a warming earth’s impact on our weather, I think it’s important to revisit the topic. Scientists across the globe agree that we’re already having more heat waves and drought, higher hurricane wind speeds and storm surges, and in some areas, rainfall of greater frequency and intensity with associated flooding. In a word, “extremes” are becoming the new normal, and extreme anything means the air and space dosha goes out of balance first.
